POE System Changeovers:

This precise instrument is used to determine percentage of mineral oil in a refrigeration system during a POE (polyol ester) changeover. A brix scale, a refractive index, or any list of markings can be used to determine mineral oil percentage. ESP utilizes the brix scale. Copeland recommends a 5% mineral oil level as acceptable. At a 65.9 brix reading (E.S.P. Scale) or below, the residual mineral oil is at that safe level. No need to plot graphs. Easily understandable directions packed with the unit in a foam filled carrying case with oil dropper and calibration screwdriver RHB-82 for POE unit or RHB-82G for our glycol unit RHB-82-ND BVA Oil Refractometer

Included are: A plastic hard case, a pipette for dropping test fluids onto the prism, a mini screwdriver for scale calibration, and a User's Guide.

Models with the “ATC” are equipped with “Automatic Temperature Compensation” for accurate measurements without recalibration after shifts in ambient working temperature (field use) between 50-86°F/10-30°C.
