Calibration Procedure (2-Point):

For best results, calibrate frequently (once per every 30 tests OR once every 3 months).  Calibration is a cheap form of insurance to ensure that your readings are as accurate as possible.

.Dip the tip of the electrode (bottom 4 cm/ 1½") in pH 7.00 buffer solution at room temperature.  Allow the reading to stabilize.

Use a small screwdriver to adjust the pH 7 trimmer until the display reads "pH 7.00".

Rinse the electrode with water and dip it in pH 4.00 (or pH 10.00) buffer solution. Allow the reading to stabilize.

With a small screwdriver adjust the pH 4/10 trimmer until the display reads "pH 4.00" (or "pH 10.00").

• Calibration is now complete.

ALWAYS CALIBRATE USING FRESH BUFFER SOLUTIONS!  DON'T SKIMP ON THIS PROCEDURE!

This unit can be used for more than just testing water!

This is a great tool for when you need to test your pond, aquarium or Hydroponic pH. It is a fast and accurate meter. What you save in buying drop type test kits will more than pay for this meter! And those type kits are not usually very accurate. You will NEVER have to GUESS which color the ph Strips are closest to! It is fast and simple to use. Just dip it in the pond or aquarium and read the reading on the digital display in just a few seconds.

Use if for chemicals, water based products, industrial fluids, food products - whatever you think you want to test, you can test it (as long as it's not too hot, too hard, too gooey, too sticky or too dry).

High Quality!

This unit comes with a 1 year warranty against manufacturers defects! You can bid with total confidence!

This meter is guaranteed for one year against defects in workmanship and materials when used for its intended purpose and maintained according to instructions. The electrode is guaranteed for a period of six months. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement free of charge. Damages due to accident, misuse, tampering or lack of prescribed maintenance are not covered. If service is required, contact the dealer from whom you purchased the instrument. If under warranty, report the model number, date of purchase, serial number and the nature of the failure. If the repair is not covered by the warranty, you will be notified of the charges incurred. If the instrument is to be returned to Hanna Instruments, first obtain a Returned Goods Authorization Number from the Customer Service department and then send it with shipment costs prepaid. When shipping any instrument, make sure it is properly packaged for complete protection.

Calibration Fluids!

Don't forget to add a few pH Buffers to the order!  Keep your pH Meter in tip-top shape by calibrating periodically!  This unit needs a 2-point calibration, so the question is: which buffer solutions do I need?  For water based samples, use 7 and 10.  For unknown samples use 4 and 10.  The key is to steer the units calibration towards the ranges of your samples.  Testing acids, use 4 and 7.  Testing bases (caustic/alkaline) use 7 and 10.  Unknown samples 4 and 10.

We carry 500ml bottles and 20ml pouches in 4.00pH, 7.00pH and 10.00pH.  COMBINE AND SAVE ON THE SHIPPING!

We also recommend using a special solution for keeping your pH Meter's electrode in tip-top shape!  Check out the Hanna Storage Solution in our Store!
