One BRAND NEW  Palm Abbe Diethanolamine (DEA) Refractometer is designed to provide the percent concentration of Diethanolamine (DEA) in water commonly used for Amine treating in Natural Gas scrubbing (the amine process of removing/scrubbing CO2 and H2S from "sour gas" natural gas and turning it into "sweet gas").

Just place a drop or two of Diethanolamine (DEA) in the stainless-steel sample well and press a button. The custom-designed microprocessor delivers a nearly instantaneous readout of Diethanolamine (DEA) concentration (%w/w). Nonlinear temperature compensation is automatic and insures that fluids tested between 0 and 50 °C (+32 to 122 °F) are measured accurately.

Diethanolamine (DEA) concentration is easily read on the large dual-line LCD display, even in dim light. Digital readings remove the subjectivity associated with interpreting where a boundary line crosses tiny scale divisions. And, it is so easy to use! The user interface consists of two buttons, one to take readings and the other to step through various menu options. 

This unit is also Kinder Morgan Treating endorsed for use in monitoring their line of Amine Plants.
